Games and Sport-based activities is a dominant part of the Physical Education Curriculum in our institution which is providing a sporting experience to our students.
We all are aware that Physical education is very important to every student in order to develop human capital, increasing productivity, and in fostering social harmony. Along with quality education, Sports and Physical education are made an accessible and regular part of learning. It develops healthier eating habits, better levels of cardiovascular fitness, increased parental support, and decreased levels of anxiety and depression. We should all know
that national study also displayed a positive correlation between students and helps in decline drug, alcohol, and substance abuse among them.
There are more other benefits of sports education as well which includes; strong ecosystem, life skills, personality development, and even career-propelling qualities like trust, shared responsibilities, and working together. The lifestyles, we are leading today, necessarily focused on the integration of sports education and makes people more cognizant towards its merit.
Sports education goes beyond building physical stamina to instill qualities such as determination, willpower, discipline, and team spirit as well.
OHIE in collaboration with Bharat Scouts and Guides provides a pathway to a student towards various activities which will made parents reluctant and paranoid to let their children devote time to games and helps them in breaking down presumed rivalry. Sports and Physical activities also require organizational skill, discipline and enormous amounts of learning which are pre-requisites for performing well in studies too. Sports and Physical Education is fundamental for a holistic growth as it provides a much-needed break from academics and is a source to release all that pent-up energy validating the ‘All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy’.
In short, Our Physical Education helps in developing Self Confidence, Accepting Defeat, Discipline, Leadership and
Teamwork qualities, 3Ps- Persistence, Patience, and Practice, Regularity in Exercise, Healthy Growth, Improves Energy Levels, Improves Sleep Cycle, etc.
